As Walmart closes its $16 billion worth Flipkart deal, four senior Walmart executives have been appointed at the Flipkart Group.

Emily McNeal will be joining Flipkart as senior vice president and group chief financial officer.

Other senior Walmart executives that will be joining Flipkart Group for their new roles include Danel De La Garza, who will be coming on board as the vice president and chief ethics & compliance officer, Grant Coad as general counsel, and Dawn Ptak will be vice president and group controller.

All the four senior leaders are expected to join the Flipkart Group by October, according to the reports.

McNeal, Garza, and Coad will be reporting directly to Bansal, while, Ptak, who will focus on group strategy, mergers and acquisitions, IPO preparation, among other areas, will be reporting to McNeal.

“Each of these leaders currently lead crucial charters at Walmart and will bring a wealth of experience to the Flipkart Group,” wrote Bansal in the email. “Their expertise will be immensely valuable in giving a major boost to our efforts to take Flipkart to the next level of growth and compliance — a journey we have already embarked upon.”

Currently, McNeal is the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) at Walmart, Garza is the chief ethics and compliance officer for Walmart in Central America, Coad is handling regulatory compliance at Walmart Canada, and Ptak has been at Walmart China for the past seven years.
