T-Hub launches HealthTech Arcade programe in collaboration with Optum

T-Hub, an innovation ecosystem and startup motivator, backed by the government of Telangana, has started its HealthTech Arcade programe in partnership with Optum, a health solution company.

According to sources, the arcade programe series is focused on helping the corporates source startups that can solve challenges in the focus area of chronic and poly-chronic disease management, digital health, medical devices, diagnostic platforms and deepTech analytics in the health sector.

Varun Jhaveri, OSD, National Health Authority, said, “The inception of Ayushman Bharat has greatly increased access to quality healthcare, and it is imperative that we increase the overall efficiency of the healthcare system. The landscape of Indian innovations in healthcare has drastically widened and is one of the foremost answers for increasing quality, accessibility and affordability of healthcare. I feel forums such as HealthTech Arcade do a tremendous job of bringing the government, industry, academia and startups on one platform to take forward the overall vision of mainstreaming healthcare innovations.”

Formed in 2015, the innovation ecosystem and startup motivator T-Hub, has provided over 1100+ national and international startups with access to better technology, talent, mentors, customers, corporates, investors, and government agencies.

Ravi Narayan, CEO, T-Hub, said, “The Indian healthcare market is expected to be valued at $372 Bn by 2022, and it’s an exciting opportunity for entrepreneurs. Our HealthTech Arcade, in partnership with Optum, will enable both startups and corporates to embrace the most innovative technologies in the healthcare space.”

The sources further expressed that more than 20 startups have showcased their products and solutions to Optum and to other leading industry and investor giants such as National Health Authority, SRI Capital, Reddy’s Labs, among others.

While, earlier this month, T-Hub had in collaboration with Facebook, shortlisted 10 artificial intelligence startups for the second edition of their India Innovation Accelerator programme.

The programme aims to support the growth of startups focused on finding solutions for social challenges using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas of good health and wellbeing, agriculture, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic opportunity, industry, innovation & infrastructure, climate change, and peace and justice & strong institutions.
