New Delhi-based startup studio Technology 9 Labs (T9L) has secured an undisclosed strategic investment from Japan-based Spiral Ventures and MyNavi Corporation.

The funds raised will be used to build a robust ecosystem by enhancing infrastructure and hiring talent to enable it to accommodate more startups.

T9L was founded by Fawad Moti Khan in 2014. It provides an ecosystem to identify, build, fund, and grow startups using its strengths and those of its partners.

Fahad Moti Khan, Founder, T9L said “Internationally start-up studios are fast emerging as an exciting and new way to build successful companies through a proven model. We at T9L partner with select founders and help them bring new ideas to life. We will deploy these funds to build a robust ecosystem to help grow businesses using our strengths and those of our partners”.

Since its inception, the startup studio has helped more than 20 startups to raise more than $50 million and they have a cumulative worth of over $300 million.

Some of the growing startups in its portfolio include healthcare startup NirogStreet, customer loyalty startup Crownit, home rental startup Fastfox, a crowdfunding platform BitGiving, and a learning network for doctors Docquity, among others.

T9L is sector agnostic studio looking to work with startups made for India, targetting India customers, or are made in India. Over the next five years, the startup studio is looking to work with 200 startups across India, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
