UberEats

To expand further, Uber has launched its food delivery service named ‘UberEATS’ in Delhi, NCR starting with Gurugram. The company has partnered with over 300 restaurants for its new delivery venture. UberEATS will give local restaurants in Delhi-NCR another reliable delivery option.

UberEATS was first launched in Los Angeles as a small delivery pilot in 2014 while launched as a separate application in Toronto in 2015. During the last 18 months, it has expanded incredibly fast and is now a stand-alone app available in 29 countries and in 97 cities around the globe, including India.

UberEATS in India has to compete with pre-launched food delivery companies like Swiggy, Foodpanda, and Zomato to make an impact. The food business for Uber can be profitable in India as they rely on charging service fees and providing restaurant management tools to their partners for revenue. Uber has already turned profitable in some markets, according to the company.

For fast delivery, UberEATS will partner with the ones who use two-wheeler to deliver the order. Also, we can get updates as our order is prepared and watch in real-time as the meal is delivered to our destination. Besides the app picks up on ordering style as you order from the app frequently. It predicts if you prefer healthy food, or vegetarian food on some days of the week and gives recommendations accordingly.

The UberEATS app is separate from the Uber app people use. Customers can download the new app from iOS/Android or go online at ‘ubereats.com’ to order anywhere in Gurugram.
