Mumbai-based social networking startup VoxWeb has recently raised ₹6.6 Crore ($1 million) in funding from an undisclosed investor. Earlier in December 2015, the company had raised seed funding close to ₹2 Crore ($350,000). The company is looking forward to improving its technology platform and built a potential team to achieve targets in future.

The startup has more than 5 lakh users and they are targeting more on metro cities. The crowd which the platform have are from 97 countries, including US, UK and Japan.

Yash Mishra, Co-founder of VoxWeb mentioned that “We have developed six refreshingly new innovative features to keep VoxWeb ahead of the curve for at least next 3 years. We have half-a-dozen innovative features that are already developed, and which are in the release pipeline, to keep VoxWeb ahead of the curve for the next three years at least. Many politicians and celebrities have approached VoxWeb to get onboard, as an 11-second speaking pic or a ‘Voxie,’ is a highly effective and engaging way to reach out to young followers and social media audience.”

The VoxWeb promoters, supporters and the founding team continue to have about 80% of the company, they are the real owners of this startup and also have 100%voting rights. Apart from this, the startup also works with various government ministries like Ministry of AYUSH.
