Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom provider has announced a special offer earlier today. The offer provides free 4G data worth INR 9000 to subscribers switching to Airtel 4G.
The offer, spanning over 12 months is available to new as well as existing customers of Airtel. Users with new 4G handsets will be able to avail the offer. The offer is available to customers across India from January 4th and will continue to be available till the end of February 2017.
Customers eligible for the offer will get additional 3GB 4G data every month for a year. The free data benefits will be over and above the existing data benefits and it will be clubbed with the existing offer. For example, a postpaid customer getting 1GB of data in the paid plan will get 4GB data every month for next 12 months.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Ajai Puri, Director market Operations, stated that the announcement is to encourage the customers to try the 4G Network on Airtel. He further added that lately there has been a increased penetration of 4G devices across the country and Airtel’s new offer will serve as an opportunity for the customers to enjoy high speed data on their devices with Airtel.
The data benefit for prepaid customers will be available with INR 345 recharge which provides unlimited Local and STD calls to any network along with 4 GB data. The offer can be availed for maximum 13 times with validity being 28 days. The offer will not be valid after December 31st 2017.
For postpaid users, the offer is available for the users on MyPlan infinity. Users will get 3GB of data in addition to the regular data and call benefits under the plan. For example, a user with INR 549 MyPlan Infinity will get unlimited calls to any network with 6GB of data (3GB bundled and 3GB free Data) for a period of 12 months.
The customers can claim the free data benefits from inside the MyAirtel app.
