Amazon to also offer ebooks in regional languages’ including Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil as a part of their program.

Days after the great launch of their cool Echo products in India, Amazon is back with another sweet surprise for its users. Amazon on Tuesday (today) launched its Amazon Prime Reading service in India. This newly launched service will allow Amazon Prime subscribers to access hundreds of eBooks without paying any extra money.
The newly launched service, which was first introduced by the Seattle-headquartered company in the US back in the year 2016, will enable the Prime subscribers to pick and read hundreds of interesting new & old titles from Amazon’s vast digital library.
The company has revealed that its vast catalog of books across literature, fiction, quick reads, romance, non-fiction, and eBooks in regional languages including Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil as a part of the program will be open for the offer to everyone.

What the Prime Reading Service has to offer?

The company is offering popular titles including Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling, The Immortals of Mehula by Amish, Operation Deep Strike by Rahul Badami, One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat, and The Secret of Stones by Ernest Dempsey, as a part of its Amazon Prime Reading program.

“Prime Reading builds the habit of reading. Prime members can now read their favorite titles at no additional cost by conveniently downloading and reading eBooks within minutes. They can discover and read new and bestselling titles from a variety of authors at no additional cost. EBooks under Prime Reading include all genres like Literature & Fiction, Travel, and Romance,” Rajiv Mehta, Country Manager, Kindle India, said in a statement.

How to access these services?

Amazon Prime users can easily access Amazon Prime Reading via their Kindle eBook reader or via the Kindle apps installed on their Android or iOS devices or their PCs. They can also access the service using the Kindle Lite Android App. And, all of these can be WhisperSynced to all of their devices simultaneously for ease of availability.

While the company introduced over a dozen new products at the event, the company will be bringing just 3 new products from its new line-up to India. And, the rest will be supplied by the end of the year and may take almost 2019’s first half also. While the new Echo Dot and Echo Plus smart speakers will be available in India starting October 2018 at a price of ₹4,499 and ₹14,999 respectively, Echo Sub will be available in the country later this year for ₹12,999.
