It looks like, there isn’t a lot of good things about the recently launched Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X (ten). According to the TENAA (Chinese telecom regulatory authority), the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus packs a substantially smaller battery than the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

The iPhone 7 had a 1960 mAh battery, whereas, the iPhone 8 comes with a slightly smaller 1820 mAh battery. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus came with a 2900 mAh battery, and the iPhone 8 Plus comes with a 2675 mAh battery.

Logical reason?

Even though, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus measures slightly thicker than their predecessors, due to the fact that the newer devices come with a glass back panel with wireless charging capability, there wouldn’t be had more space to incorporate bigger batteries. Considering all new powerful SoC, brighter display and Augmented reality capability, the device might offer slightly lesser battery life compared to their predecessor.

The GeekBench, the famous CPU benchmarking site confirms that the device outperforms both Apple A10 and Apple A10x Chipset. Thanks to the new Apple A11 Bionic Chipset with custom CPU and GPU designed by the Johny Eve.

Do you think, Apple has worked out on a software level to increase the battery life on their newest models? Share your views in the comments below.
