Apple, the pinnacle of technology is working on a new technology based on the Liquid Crystal process. Yes, you heard us right, the upcoming Apple iPhone AKA, the Apple iPhone X1 to feature all-new Liquid crystal LTE antenna, with crystal polymer LTE modules. Compared to the current generation iPhones, the upcoming models will offer significantly faster LTE speeds with up to X64 percent faster than the current LTE speeds.
The existence of this feature is confirmed by the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has been the most accurate Apple iPhone leak-predicter. According to Kuo,
“Antenna design upgrade a key factor in anticipated boost to LTE transmission speed in new 2H18F iPhone models” “As an LTE antenna FPCB material, LCP is superior to PI in properties related to high-frequency, thermal performance and moisture resistance. We predict 2H18 new iPhones will be equipped with two LCP LTE antenna modules same as iPhone X or more, but with higher specs to support 4×4 MIMO standards.”
According to other analysts, Apple is also continuously working with Intel to develop 5G modems, which might or might not be seen in the upcoming flagship smartphones in 2018. However, by 2019 November, we can expect iPhones with a 5G modem, and, according to the recent leaks and speculations, Apple will be the first smartphone manufacturer to include LTE modem on their smartphone. Few rumors also suggest that the next generation iPhone might offer dual SIM card slots (e-SIM and normal SIM in the US) (normal dual SIM in the Asian countries).
