Apple’s first wow product was their clickable iPod with storage ranging from 10 GB to 128 GB. Though this looks silly on present scenario, however, in early 2000 having a 10 GB of MP3 was something overwhelming. If you want to buy an iPod, then iPod touch is the only option to do so.

Coming to the topic, Apple silently removed iPod shuffle, iPod nano from their portfolio. The only model available with the surname iPod is iPod touch. The latest generation of iPod touch is an option for those, who like iPad with smaller form factor. One can use it access Apple’s app store that offers more than 2 billion apps. However, one cannot use Whatsapp, as it requires a cellular connection in ios powered devices.

In terms of tech specifications, the iPod comes with either 32 GB or 128 GB onboard storage priced at $199 or $299. Other specifications remain exactly similar to that of the last generation iPod touch. Featuring a 4-inch retina display, all metal unibody and a 8 MP rear facing camera with HD front facing selfie camera.

The device runs on two-year old Apple A8 processor with motion M8 coprocessor, paired with 1 GB RAM. The device runs on iOS 9 and supports upcoming iOS 10 as well. Whats your take on Apple’s decision to scrap off their iPod lineup, let us know in the comment box.
