Recently, the tech giant Apple has confirmed an early investigation into the problems faced by its latest flagship iPhone X users. Some iPhone X users have reported a serious issue on their handset that makes them incapable of picking up the phone calls instantly, at times. This issue specifically comes into notice when the affected users receive an incoming call on their iPhone X that doesn’t wake up the display although there’s a call alert. This issue is being reported on Apple report forums.

The growing number of complaints about iPhone X’s phone call issue on Apple’s support forum was first highlighted by The Financial Times and it appears from the reports that this issue first surfaced in December. This issue even occurs on some replacement units. There’s a common time lag of 6-8 seconds between the time ringtone starts and display wakes up during an incoming call on the handsets facing this issue. The other issues mentioned by the users on the support forums concerns with problems related to the proximity sensor of iPhone X as well. Some of the users, additionally added that the display doesn’t come back on even when they take away the phone from their ears. The victim users tried to resolve this issue by restarting their iPhone X and some even opted for hard reset option, however, the problem still persists. It is not clear whether the delay in display wake-up during incoming calls is a software side-issue or is due to a failed hardware component added to the phone.

Apple recently said in a statement to The Financial Times that it is “looking into” user reports. Though the company hasn’t defined any concrete details on the fix as per the reports, let’s see what the company’s strategy to tackle this problem.
Also, in the past, the Apple’s  flagship iPhone X had been in the news for a couple of awkward issues, including a temporarily unresponsive display in cold weather conditions that was resolved through iOS 11.1.2 update rolled in the month of November. Secondly, several iPhone X users in the month of November also reported buzzing sound from its earpiece speaker that became largely noticeable at higher volume levels. I suspect if that was fixed!

Let’s see what new strategy company has got to deal with this issue!
