With the successful release of iPhone X and iPhone 8 in the past few months of 2017, rumors for this year’s iPhones have already begun to swirl. As this is officially 2018, time to look ahead to 2018 iPhones updates.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst for KGI Securities, a financial services group in the Asia-Pacific region. Kuo and his research team often predict an accurate view on Apple’s upcoming products in the market. His predictions on future Apple products are accurate enough to make him one of the most reliable sources for Apple rumors. According to him, the new products will be launched in or around autumn.
He quoted in Monday’s research notes –
“Development schedule of new 6.1″ LCD iPhone slightly behind 6.5″ and 5.8” OLED models. It may enjoy extended longevity into 1H19F, boosting slow season outlook.
We predict the 6.1″ LCD iPhone will differ from the 6.5″ and 5.8″ OLED models in terms of certain specs, for reasons of cost/price and product segmentation. However, this shouldn’t have any effect on key user experience. We revise up our price projection for the 6.1″ model from $650-$750 to $700-$800, and remain positive on shipments momentum.”
The mid-size 6.1-inch is more likely to come over the iPhone X’s killer features. A single rear camera might replace with dual rear cameras and 3GB of RAM will move on to 4GB. With the landmark in including the 3G technology in its second generation models, and 4G in iPhone 5 and above. Apple might be comparatively ready for introducing 5G technology to the upcoming Apple products. However, it may be a long run as the first public 5G network aren’t expected to roll out not before 2020. Although 5G may widespread until 2022 though.
