Along with the new iPhones and Apple Watch, the OEM also announces a successor to the Apple TV. The last generation Apple TV has a great set of features, but the upcoming Apple TV comes with the complete entertainment package.

The 2017 Apple Tv is powered by Apple’s A10X chipset (found on the iPad Pro) with 4K streaming capability with HRD complaint (HRD 10 as well as Dolby Vision). Even if you don’t have smart TV, don’t worry Apple TV will convert normal TV into smart TV in no time.

As to enjoy HRD, one requires specific content, Apple is partnering with Netflix and Amazon to cater HDR ready content. In fact, if you have previously purchased an HD movie, the title will be directly upgraded into 4K HDR at no cost.

According to Eddy Cue:

“Customers will love watching stunning 4K HDR movies from an impressive catalog on iTunes, while also getting automatic upgrades of 4K HDR movies already in their iTunes library and enjoying 4K content on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, coming soon.”

The retail bundle will also pack a new Siri remote with a track pad, which can be used for playing the games specifically designed for the TV OS.

The Apple TV will be available in India from 22nd September onwards, priced INR 15,900 for the 32 GB model and 17,900 for the 64 GB model. The last generation (4th) is now available for just 12,900.
