Apple Homepod sale

HomePod, the innovative wireless speaker from Apple, arrives in stores beginning Friday, February 9 and is available to order online this Friday, January 26 in the US, UK and Australia. It will arrive in France and Germany in the spring.

Company originally planned to debut smart speaker in December. The HomePod will be Apple’s first major new hardware category since the Apple Watch launched in 2015 and fits into the company’s growing ecosystem of accessories, which also includes AirPods.

HomePod is said to deliver stunning audio quality wherever it’s placed — in any room and will play any style of music on your command. With the help of Siri, HomePod can help send messages, set a timer, play a podcast, check the news, sports, traffic and weather, and even control HomeKit, the smart home accessories.

“HomePod is a magical new music experience from Apple. It brings advanced audio technologies like beam-forming tweeters, a high-excursion woofer and automatic spatial awareness, together with the entire Apple Music catalog and the latest Siri intelligence, in a simple, beautiful design that is so much fun to use,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

The device takes on Amazon’s growing forte on speaker. Amazon.com Inc.’s popular Echo speakers, which the online retail giant said sold in the “tens of millions” last year. Last year, Amazon launched a pair of Echo speakers with a screen, which is the louder version of the original and more easily taps into home accessories. Google as well have their similar home speakers and later also introduced a louder Max speaker aimed at the HomePod.

“Music is deep in our DNA and dating back from iTunes and iPod” Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple stated. “So we wanted something that sounded unbelievable and I think when people will listen to it, they are going to be in shock over the quality of the sound” he said.
