We have seen many smartphones in 2017, the bezel-less one, the 4 cameras smartphone, the 10,000 mAh battery smartphone, smartphone with a notch, a smartphone made using titanium, a smartphone from ceramic etc etc. However, we haven’t seen any smartphone like the Aqua Jazz, the entry-level smartphone priced less than $100 packs a dual main camera setup.

Considering the price tag, one might expect to see a plastic unibody design, in reality, the smartphone offers a full metal unibody design. In fact, the smartphone also offers a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the device in less than a quarter of a second.

In fact, if we compare this device with the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, this offers next level features for an additional ₹1,000. One can get a dual camera, metal builds, dual camera setup. Except for the RAM, this device has an edge over the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Not to forget the fingerprint scanner, which plays an important role in unlocking the device and making purchases on Play store.

The smartphone does offer a 16:9 aspect ratio touch panel with 720p HD resolution spread across 5.0-inch (vertically). The display is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top, which gives a premium note to the smartphone by protecting the screen from accidental scratches on a day to day usage. The smartphone offers an unspecified Quad-core Mobile Solution with 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage. The only thing that is bothering about the device is a fact that, to drive the Android apps on an HD display, 1 GB RAM might be a bad option. For the most part, the smartphone is expected to offer unsurpassed performance but, the smartphone might not offer much in terms of multitasking.

Like always, the phone does offer dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. So, one can use a Jio SIM and a normal SIM on the secondary slot without any problems what so ever. Other standard features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm headphone jack are also present on the device.

On to the camera capability, the smartphone features a 13 MP RGB shooter and a VGA secondary shooter, which will help the device to analyse the depth from the object, which leads to the varied depth of field. For the selfie camera, the smartphone maker offers a 5 MP selfie shooter with 720p video recording capability.

The operating system on the device is based on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system. Like most of the entry-level smartphones, do not expect a software update what so ever. The Aqua Jazz will be available on online and offline retails stores from next few days.

Aqua Jazz is the best ever entry-level Android smartphone that we have seen in the recent times. In fact, the device surpasses our expectations from an entry-level smartphone. However, as this is theoretical, we have to test the device to check its strengths and weaknesses.
