Asus’s latest offering to the Indian market is Asus ZenFone Zoom S. The device features are centred around camera and photography as the device features dual camera setup at the rear end. The device is priced at INR 26,999 available exclusively via Flipkart.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard storage with dedicated SD card slot. The ZenFone Zoom S features 1080p OLED screen, protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
With respect to the main camera compartment, the device has dual 12 MP RGB sensor, sensor 1 offers F/1.7 aperture and 4-axial OIS, sensor 2 offers F/2.0 aperture without OIS. The device also offers 2.3X lossless zoom and 12X digital zoom(better than Apple iPhone 7 Plus). For selfie enthusiasts, the device offers 13 MP front facing camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The SoC, RAM and storage are something than we can see in a budget Android smartphone, however, the camera setup is the main USP of the device. One has to wait to know how the device actually works in real life scenario.
