Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) launched in Russia with dual camera setup

Asus Russia has launched a new mid-tier Android smartphone, AKA, the Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1). The smartphone is now listed officially on Asus website. However, there are no details on pricing or availability. Soon after the Russia launch, we can expect the smartphone maker to launch this device in the markets like India and China.

With respect to design and build quality, the smartphone offers a full metal premium unibody design with a premium design language. In fact, the design is inline with the other premium mid-tier Android smartphones of the 2017 era. So, let’s look at the technical specifications of the Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1).

The Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) offers an all-new 5.7-inch IPS LCD touch display with narrow bezels. The smartphone follows the 2017 standards and offers 18:9 aspect ratio with FHD+ screen resolution (1080x2160p). The touch panel is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass, which protects the devices from scratches and damages. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Oct-core SoC, to be exact, the smartphone uses an MT6750T Mobile-Solution, paired with 2 GB or 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB onboard flash storage (with a dedicated micro SD card slot up to 128 GB).

With respect to connectivity, the smartphone offers a dual nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Other standard connectivity features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.2 support.

Moving towards the camera capability, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back. The company uses a 16 MP + 8 MP camera setup, where the 16 MP sensor is a normal sensor and the 8 MP sensor is a wide angle shooter with up to 120-degree viewing angle. For the selfie camera, the smartphone uses an 8 MP selfie camera with F/2.0 aperture with 1080p video recording capability.

The smartphone is powered by Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI (Zen UI) on the top. The smartphone will get a Oreo update down the road with the similar user interface. Last but not the least, the smartphone offers a 4130 mAh sealed battery with fast charging capability via micro USB port, which also supports USB OTG. As a matter of fact, this device can also act as a power bank to lend the juice to the other electronic devices.
