Asus, the biggest hardware manufacturers in the world, launches their latest edition, the Asus ZenFone V. The device will be available exclusively on the Verizon network, and priced at $$384 (INR 24,000) without any contracts or what so ever. However, if you wish, then one can also go with either 16 months or 24 months of data and voice bundles. The device looks premium and offers top of the line specifications, which are comparable to the last generation flagship Android smartphones.

The Asus ZenFone V is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated SD card expansion slot (up to 256 GB). The mobile features 5.2-inch 1080p OLED display with 2.5-D curved Corning Gorilla Glass on top.

The Asus ZenFone packs top of the line 23 MP rear-facing camera, packed with features like Electronic image stabilization, 4-axial optical image stabilization, and laser autofocus. The camera does support 4K video recording capability as well as the portrait mode. On the front, the phones pack a decent 8 MP camera with F/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. In terms of connectivity, the mobile comes with single SIM card slot with support for all the LTE bands in the United States. The phone offers Bluetooth 4.2 with support for dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with WiFi hotspot as well. For the VR fans, the device does pack Gyroscopic sensor as well.

The mobile is equipped with 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 capability along with Asus’s own PowerDelivery 2.0 feature via USB type C port. The device is powered by Zen UI 3.0 on top of Android Nougat 7.1.1 with an expected update to Android Oreo in the near future.
