BlackBerry is indeed working on their next smartphone with complete QWERTY keypad. According to the famous benchmarking website GFXBench, the company is indeed working on the next generation KEYOne smartphone with the same form factor as that of the BlackBerry KEYOne.

Though the external casing might look similar to that of the present generation model, the BlackBerry KEYOne offers a refreshed hardware with an upgrade on almost every aspect, making it more of a premium smartphone, compared to their present line up of smartphone.

According to the listing on the GFXBench marking platform, The smartphones comes with an internal name called QUALCOMMBBF100 -1, which confirms that the device is indeed a BlackBerry smartphone. According to the screenshot posted, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s the best mid-range chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core SoC, which is the most powerful mobile processor from Qualcomm after Snapdragon 835, this processor is paired with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

The listing also confirms that the smartphone will be powered by the latest Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box with light skin on the top. As per the display is concerned, the smartphone offers a 1620 x 1080p resolution  OLED screen, practically, this resolution is a bit less than the 1080p and more than 720p. So, considering the 3:2 aspect ratio screen with 4.5-inch screen size, this resolution should offer enough pixels per inch, to make it a retina-class display.

Compared to the original model, this device has an overall hardware upgrade, so, one can expect this device to be priced at $600 price margin (₹40,000). So, we can also expect a newer camera with 4K video recording capability and this might be the first BlackBerry branded smartphone to feature dual rear-camera setup as well.

So, what do you think about the new BlackBerry KEYOne? Share your views in the comment box.
