Blu, the US smartphone brand known for its affordable mobiles launches two new mobiles in India. The Blu Advance A5 and Blu Advance A5 Plus are priced at $90 (INR 6,000) and $110 (INR  7,000) respectively offers the following features and specifications.

Both mobiles offer full metal-unibody design and offer great value for money. Here is the complete set of specifications for the same.

Blu Advance A5:

The Blu Advance A5 comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD 720p Screen with 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek MT6580 Quad-core SoC with 1.3 GHz clock speed paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated SD card slot.

On to the camera, the device features 8 MP rear-facing camera with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability. The front-facing 5 MP wide angle lens is equipped with a single tone LED flash to cater low light photography. The device offers single SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability.

Blu Advance A5 Plus:

Blu Advance A5 Plus offers slightly bumped up specifications compared to the standard edition. Instead of the 5-inch display, the device offers 5.5 inch 720p IPS LCD screen with 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core SoC, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage and a dedicated micro SD card slot for additional storage seekers (up to 64 GB).

In terms of camera capabilities, the device features a 13 MP rear-facing camera with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability, for the selfie enthusiasts, there is an 8 MP front-facing camera with dual single tone LED flash to improve the low light photography.

Both devices offer Android Nougat with custom UI on the top, there is no news about the upgrading procedure to the latest Android Oreo operating system. For the price tag, these devices do sound worthy (at least on paper).
