Xiaomi India is on a swing, after launching the newer power banks, now the company is all set to launch the newest member of the Redmi family on 30th November. As the name suggests, this will be a made in India smartphone and Made for India smartphone as well. The company calls it as the Desh Ka Smartphone

As commented by the company, this smartphone will be a Redmi line of smartphone, which is known for the budget-friendly price tag with interesting hardware specifications. So, we can consider that, this will be a competitor for the Nokia 2, which much lower price tag.

One thing will be for sure, this specific smartphone will be priced under ₹6,000 price tag (most likely to be priced at ₹4,999 for the entry-level model). In terms of actual tech specifications, the device is expected to be similar to that of the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite. So, here are the complete set of specifications for the Xiaomi Redmi Desh Ka Smartphone.

In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone is expected to feature an all plastic unibody design with different colour shades like Gold, Silver, and pitch black. The paint of the device is expected to be in a such a way that, it will give the smartphone a premium all-metal unibody look.

The upcoming entry-level Redmi Desh Ka smartphone from Xiaomi is expected to offer a 5.0-inch or 5.5-inch standard 16:9 aspect ratio screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Whatever be the screen size, the resolution is expected to remain at 720p IPS LCD touch panel with multi-touch input. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Octa-core SoC, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 64 GB).

Just like the Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite, the smartphone is expected to feature a dedicated micro SD card slot plus dual individual nano-SIM card slots. Both slots will offer support for 4G LTE and VoLte with additional features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth version 4.2.

Coming to the camera capability, the device is likely to offer single 5 MP main camera and a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera with HD video recording capability on both the modules. Other standard features like 3.5 mm headphone jack, analogue FM radio, backfiring speakers will also be present.

With respect to the operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat with MiUi 9 skin on the top. The operating system will offer features like a split window, dual apps, OTP highlighter, and many more futuristic features. Finally, all these hardware will be powered by a 3000 mAh Li-ion sealed battery with normal charging capability via micro USB port.
