Apple’s newly launched phones seem to have a big trouble

iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max both models from various users seem to go through a problem which isn’t something to ignore. The new issue is regarding the charging on these smartphones which is a big issue now.

These smartphones won’t automatically start to charge but needs to wake up to enable charging and sometimes they won’t even recognize the charger, even when woke up. This is a serious issue with the fact that few of these models won’t take charge at all.

Few users have said, they require to flip the wire and reinsert multiple times to ensure the device starts to charge.

Bombardment of issues with the new iPhones

Owners of the recently-launched iPhone XS and XS Max, which costs up to £1,449 (₹1,44,900 approx.) for the most expensive model, said that their phones failed to charge when the screen was turned off.

Apple Inc. has not yet commented on the issue which has been named “Chargegate”.

Multiple owners took the issue to social media, where one of them wrote on Twitter saying the problem had caused her “a week of frustration”. “First and last time I buy the latest and greatest iPhone,” another wrote.

Famous Youtuber took few steps to let Apple know

YouTuber, Lewis Hilsenteger (aka Unbox Therapy) who discovered the issue tested multiple versions of the new models of the iPhone. He found that while last year’s iPhone X would charge when plugged into a power socket, the latest the iPhone XS would not.

The new phones would only get charged while their screens are turned on, so an owner plugging in the handset overnight without waking the phone could be left with a dead battery in the morning.

The reason for the downfall is unclear and no data as to the number of units affected. However, failures to charge have been reported by users across social media as well as Apple’s website.

Complains from Everywhere

“I’ve noticed several times plugging the phone in, and no charge comes up,” one customer wrote. Several owners reported that they had to repeatedly insert the power cable for their phones to start charging.

The fault is the latest alleged problem to hit Apple’s new iPhones. Some users had complained that their phones have poor Wi-Fi reception compared to previous models, and others had issues with the post-processing of the images taken on the new iPhones, said they excessively smoothened the photos.
