Facebook has taken big step from securing kids and children from exploitation and threats. Facebook is launching a new messaging app, known as Talk that will allow parents to monitor who their children are in contact with. This might cause problem for the children but from safety point of view, this is needed. The app may not perform well between elders but teenagers will make use of it by staying away from the strangers and from people who use to exploit them or causes harm.

According to the website, the Information also stated that parents have full control over the app. They can also access it from anywhere, anytime without informing their child. It’s a warning alarm for children not to remain in contact of any person, whom your parents dislike. The code stated that “Talk is a messaging app where you fully control the contacts and your child uses the Talk app to chat with you in Messenger. This app is to secure your child from strangers.” The app can be seen over teenager’s smartphones. Mostly, who are 13 years old and above and will not require the user to have a Facebook profile.

By giving controls in the parent’s hand, this may turn some teens off due to the restriction, limitation and they have this issue that their parents will get to know about everything and everyone. Their privacy can be easily invaded by their own parents. Parents can easily monitor and can have daily check on their social life. A report stated that teenagers use Snapchat over Facebook, it was reported that 58 percent of college students check Snapchat over Facebook and any other social media app. Checking Snapchat has become a ritualistic occurrence for most millennial.
