The ASUS ZenBook S13 is finally available from most major retailers starting at $1,399. Bulked up with an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 and an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, the ZenBook S13 is a powerful but compact machine.

The narrow-bezel Asus ZenBook UX391 will now be even narrower with the ZenBook UX392. Asus is promising a lighter and faster GeForce-powered Ultrabook than the Dell XPS 13 while offering a larger 13.9-inch display. All of its components have been squeezed into a 5.07 inch (12.9 mm) thin CNC-milled chassis. The device weighs 2.4 pounds and is touted as “seriously portable”.  It’s tiny bezels offer a 97 percent screen-to-body ratio. It has two USB-C ports, a single USB-A port and a microSD reader. The device includes 50Wh lithium-polymer battery and can last up to 15 hours on a single charge.

ASUS worked closely with audio specialists Harman Kardon to create two stereo speakers and surround-sound effects. The company claims that its special smart amplifier minimizes distortion and provides “cinema-quality audio”. Users will also be to call upon Amazon Alexa to help perform everyday tasks like reading the news or controlling smart home devices. The Zenbook 13 will also include Windows 10 Pro.

No modern ASUS ROG device would be complete without lighting options. The device includes per-key ASUS Aura RGB LEDs, Aura Sync compatibility, and an illuminated logo. Users can also create up to six different illumination profiles.

The ASUS ZenBook S13 is priced similarly to comparable devices. The version with 8GB memory is available for $1,399 USD at major retailers, while the 16GB version is available for $1,499. There is currently no pricing for Strix Scope mechanical keyboard and it has not yet been listed by major retailers. It is unclear when it will be available.
