Gboard

Google will be now allowing users to create their own GIF’s using its third-party Gboard keyboard app.
The Google Keyboard app has received an update on the Android beta that will allow users to use this feature. This feature had been available for iOS users since last year. Now starting this week, the feature will be showing up on some Android devices as well. The beta version of the keyboard app will now show the “Make a GIF” button that will allow users to create reaction GIFs. Users can try out this new feature by installing the beta version of the app.

How to make GIFs using Gboard App:

For trying this new feature, users have to go into the GIF interface in the keyboard. Then users have to select the “My GIFs” tab. After that user has to give Gboard permission to access their camera and then the user can record the GIF. The “Make a GIF” feature will allow users to capture up to 3-second-long videos. Users can also choose to add some filters like placing question marks all over the GIF to make it look good. The newly created GIF images can be later used by users elsewhere where GIFs via Gboard are supported.

Additionally, now Gboard app also has more stickers including the blob emoji. Since the feature is still in beta, not everyone will see it until it rolls out in the main release. This feature of the app can be used by users by becoming a part of the app’s beta testing programme on Google Play Store. According to reports, not all Gboard app’s users for Android are seeing the new feature. It is expected that the new feature may be available on select devices.
