Gionee has launched its latest selfie phone in Indian market. The smartphone was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress. Available in three possible color variants, Grey, Black and Gold, it is priced at ₹19,999. Pre booking for the smartphone will start from march 31st.
Notable features in the phone include Android Nought based custom developed Amigo 4.0 skin out of the box. Along with that, it has 4010 mAh battery for a great battery backup. Customers who are pre-booking the smartphone will also get two years warranty and JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Bluetooth Speaker as a free gift.
Speaking at the launch, Arvind R Vohra, Gionee CEO and MD India said that the phone offers great selfie, great battery and great experience at ₹19,999. Talking about the #Selfiestan trend, he mentioned that Gionee wants to capture the colors of India through the front camera and A1 is specially designed for the youth who looks at the world through their front camera.
Coming to the specifications, Gionee A1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 processor. It has 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. 5.5 inch full HD Amoled display provides an effective resolution of 1920x1080p. The storage is expandable with the help of micro SD card.
The camera pair on the smartphone seems impressive. With a 16 MP camera at the front with f2.0 and flash and 13MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus and f2.0, Gionee is betting big on the camera performance.
