Gionee, the pioneer in the smartphone market launched a new budget segmented Gionee A1 Lite India. As the name suggests, the device is a trade down version of the original A1 at a much cheaper price tag. The device is priced at INR 17,000 available exclusively via offline stores.

The device offers 5.3 inch 720p IPS lcd screen with 2.5D curved screen and powered by MT6753 SoC paired with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. The device’s storage can be expanded via micro SD card upto 128 GB.

Gionee A1 Lite shines in terms of camera, the rear facing camera offer 13 MP rear facing camera with dual tone flash. The device also offers mammoth 20 MP front facing selfie camera, making it a major selling point. Both cameras offer F/2.0 aperture with 1080p video recording capability.

The device offers non user replaceable 4000 mAh battery with fast charging capability. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual SIM support with 4G LTE capabilities. As per the press release, the device runs on forked version of Android Nougat with expected Android O in the upcoming days.

At this price tag, the device offer good set of features. However, low resolution screen and inefficient processors kicks in, this device is not the best one at this price tag. If you are looking for a good selfie camera, then you can consider this device.
