Gionee India has a good news for the Indian smartphone enthusiasts. The company is planning to launch not 1 or 2 but a total of 6 smartphones in India. So, here are the complete details on the upcoming smartphones from Gionee, the Chinese smartphone maker.

One common thing amongst all these smartphones is the fact that, all 6 smartphones offers a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. In terms of connectivity, these smartphones offer dual nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots along with WiFi and WiFi Hotspot. With respect to operating system, these devices are powered by Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top.

Gionee S11 S: The Gionee S11s is the first smartphone that is coming to India (probably next month). The device is priced at CNY 3,299 in China, (which roughly translates to ₹ 32,999). So, looking at the price tag, we can expect a premium flagship experience and here are the details regarding the same.

The Gionee S11s uses an all-new 18:9 aspect ratio screen with 6.01-inch screen real estate. The display used on this smartphone is a OLED panel with FHD+ screen resolution, offering up to 401 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the device will be powered by MediaTek Helio P30 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage. In terms of camera capability, the smartphone offers a quad camera solution. 16 MP + 8 MP camera on the rear and 20 MP + 8 MP camera on the front. These cameras offer features like portrait mode, 4K video recording capability. However, for the selfie camera, the video recording capability is limited to 1080p.

Gionee S11: The Gionee S11 is a slightly downgraded version of the Gionee S11s. The smartphone uses a slightly smaller 5.9-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen with 2.5D tempered glass protection on the top. In terms of processing power, the device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P23 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage. The device retails in China for CNY 1,799. So, we can expect a price tag of ₹17,999.

Coming to the camera capability, the device uses the same camera setup. On the rear, the device offers a 16 M + 8 MP dual-camera setup with 4K video recording and portrait mode. For the selfie camera, the device offers a 20 MP + 8 MP camera setup with portrait mode and 1080p video recording capability. So, you can expect a premium flagship class camera performance.

Gionee M7 Plus: This is the costliest smartphone from Gionee. The device retails in China for CNY 4,399, which translates for ₹43,999. For the display, the company uses a 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED display, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. However, this device has a bit different design, instead of the full metal unibody design, the device uses a leather-like material, which looks premium and offers an in hand grip. Ths smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot.

Coming to the camera capability, the smartphone offers a 16 MP + 8 MP rear-facing camera with 4K video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the smartphone offers an 8 MP selfie shooter with 1080p video recording capability. Though the features do sound interesting, the specification to price ratio is something that we don’t appreciate.

Gionee F6: This is more of a mid-tier smartphone. The device retails in China for CNY 1,299 (₹12,999) making it the cheapest of the lot. For the display, Gionee is using a 5.7-inch HD+ touch panel with new 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage.

In terms of camera capability, the smartphone offers a rear-dual camera setup consisting of 13 MP RGB sensor and a 2 MP depth sensing sensor. The camera setup does offer 1080p video recording capability with the potrait mode.

Gionee F205: This is a more affordable option from the brand, which offers the same 18:9 aspect ratio screen with a smaller 5.45-inch form factor, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Mediatek 6739 processor, paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage. The device retails in China for CNY 999 (₹9,999), making it a best 18:9 aspect ratio smartphone in the market. For the camera, the smartphone maker has settled with 8 MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording capability and a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera with 720p video recording capability.

Gionee M7 Lite: The Gionee M7 Lite offers a 5.5-inch HD+ display, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 octa-core SoC, paired with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). This specific model retails in China for CNY 1,399 (₹ 13,999).

In terms of camera capability, the smartphone offers an 8 MP selfie camera and an 8 MP rear-facing camera. The company also claims that it is working with many app developers to optimise the apps for the newer 18:9 aspect ratio.
