Gionee, the Chinese smartphone brand known for its marathon battery has launched a new premium mid-tier Android smartphone, which offers a new set of features and a fancier design language. The device does grab the audience for a second, however, when it comes to the pricing the happy saga ends there. The Gionee M7 Power has its own quirks and advantages over other Android smartphones. So, let’s look at them and we leave the final verdict to yourselves.

The smartphone offers metal unibody-like design, but, actually, it uses the plastic panel, which is expected to fade over the time. However, the plastic unibody does have its own advantages like it is very susceptible and will hold well against the accidental falls and minor falls. Let’s look at the technical specifications for the further understanding.

The Gionee M7 Power is equipped with a 6.0-inch HD+ 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. This new 18:9 aspect ratio screen is something that offers a lot of real estate with a smaller form factor. The bezels are thinner and make it look like a premium smartphone at least from the front view. The smartphone is powered by the entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

With respect to connectivity, the device offers dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Standard features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Analogue FM radio, and 3.5 mm headphone jack are also present.

On to the camera capability, the smartphone has incarnated with a 13 MP rear-facing camera with F/2.0 aperture with 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone offers an 8 MP front-facing selfie camera with a F/2.2 aperture with 720p video recording capability. So, these cameras are expected to perform efficiently in the natural lightening condition, but, in the low or artificial lightning, this smartphone might not be able to cope up with the same.

So, finally, the 5000 mAh Li-ion sealed battery can last for a complete day even for the heavy users, and for the mediocre users, the battery can last for 2 complete days on a single charge. So, if you are into watching a lot of multimedia content, then, this would be the smartphone for you.
