Google has announced that they will now support languages like Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu in Google classroom.

The whole COVID-19 thing has given rise to so many new things which we have never seen. Complete online studying is one of those things. We have colleges and schools running completely in online mode with so many educational software rising up. Google Classrooms is one of them.

Google that has emerged as a leading solution provider for online learning is enhancing the experience for students, teachers, and parents. Now in their latest update forĀ  Classrooms, they have added support for languages like Bengali, Marathi, Telegu, and Urdu. Classrooms already support 45 languages and are aiming to reach 54 languages.

Google Classroom will offer stats to help educators track how their students are interacting in a virtual environment. Google is also planning to make Classroom mobile apps work effectively even when there is no Internet access. It will be interesting to see how they do it.

Google Head of Education (India and South Asia) Bani Paintal Dhawan said in a briefing on Wednesday that Google Classroom saw a surge of almost 300 percent in India.

Recently, The Maharashtra government has tied with the Maharashtra Education department to provide free access to G Suite and Classrooms across the state.

One interesting feature which Google is planning to bring is allowed moderators the remove students twice and when he/she tries to join the meeting the third time, the system won’t allow him/her to do it.

Google also announced that in October, it would enable Meet to let participants blur or replace their backgrounds. This is likely to convince some users to show their faces while studying online. However, admins would still have the option to disable custom backgrounds.

For schools using G Suite enterprise, Google is planning to bring an attendance system to keep track of students in this virtual class. Google is also planning to bring hand-raising, Q&A, and polling features.

Meeting hosts will be able to record a meeting using the feature and share the same within their domain for up to 30 days before it expires. However, it is important to note that the recording won’t be available for sharing outside the domain or manual download.

Google is updating originality reports to help educators flag potential plagiarism in student work. It will also provide students with the ability to find passages that may need citations.

Google is also trying to bring a system where students would not be able to copy their submissions. A plagiarism-free submission.

With so many new exciting and helpful features incoming, Google is trying to be number 1 in every service which it provides. Other startups or midscale companies in this field will get affected a lot by all these additions by Google.

Google is trying its best to provide a school like feeling for educators and students. Zoom and Microsoft are also trying their best to be the No 1 since March. All of these are not fully dedicated education software. Google Classrooms looks like a fully-fledged education purpose software and will easily surpass other competitors in the online education providing race.
