Dark Theme for G suite apps

Google has been striving to launch its new dark theme to its suite of office apps. These themes are not just restricted to the front page of apps either but are also functional in the editing view of the apps.

Today, an official announcement regarding the same was made by Google. Google stated that the dark theme can now be used by the users on Sheets, Slides, and Docs.

The front page of the document browser and the actual view of editing run on dark themes. Only the editing view in the dark theme applies to Sheets and Docs, as the colors can be changed in the sliding format.

The color of the dark theme is dark gray that Google has been using, and the apps all have their respective accent colors.

Any user can set the dark theme by themselves in a hassle-free manner. You can go to the Menu section, then select the option of settings followed by a theme and finally dark. If you are a dark theme user, you can have a look at the document in the light theme by selecting the option of more followed by view in light theme.

Today after an official declaration, Google has begun with the dark theme for all the customers of G Suite and any individual with a personal account. Over the next few weeks, the customer would be able to see the new theme. As per the statement of one of the officials, Google also stated that the apps would be able to automatically detect and use the theme of your system, which means if your device is already running on the dark theme, you will not have to go to settings and do it manually in these apps.

Google would enable this feature with the help of a server-side switch like the old themes of dark color. It would also create less pressure on the eyes of the users while editing or reviewing documents at the end.
