Google Keep

Google Keep has been one of the best note apps for users throughout all platforms. It was launched by Google on March 20, 2013. The service is available on the web and has a mobile app for Android and iOS mobile operating system. Keep offers a variety of tools that allows users to take notes that also includes text, lists, images, and audio. Users can also set reminders, which easily integrates with Google Now. The app can be easily synced with the Google Drive. This allows users to save notes, voice notes and checklist to the Drive. Users can easily access these notes again from any device.

However, the main issue with Keep is that users cannot indent the items in the lists. It makes it a tiresome for users to organize sub items. But now it looks like things are changing for the service. According to some reports, a new update is rolling out for Keep that will bring the indentation support.

New updates for Google Keep:

According to the reports, the feature will be available on version 4.1.211 of the Google Keep app. This new version of the service has now begun to roll out. After opening any list in the Keep app, users will now see a new overlay hint. This new hint will be telling users to swipe an item rightwards in order to indent it. Users can also bring back the indentation by left swiping the item. However, there is one restriction in this new indentation feature. There is only one sub-level of indentation, so users cannot create nested lists.

This new feature is now rolling out to Google Keep on iOS devices and web. On the web version of the Keep, the user will get a notice on opening the first list. This will explain to users that indentation will work when user will drag items. Users can also use indentation on web by using the keyboard shortcut <CTRL> + ]/[.
