At times we lose contact with the people on our way while travelling from one place to another. We’re unable to stay in touch because of low battery status and this put us in a condition where we’re unable to know if someone made it home safely or not! So, here’s a solution to this problem.

As per the reports, Android Police has spotted code in a Google Maps beta version for Android that aims at sharing your remaining battery life alongside the current location.Likely, the remaining battery status will be displayed as a generic range because the battery status changes minute after minute.

The reports further added that the Maps code also suggests for sharing your mass transit trips with others. It will give an idea of the time at which you arrive at a particular spot. Also, the Maps will come with a provision for shortcuts to favourite stations that will influence the maps’ direction.

The date of the update is not revealed yet and it could be a while before we see this update rolling in the market. Hidden code like this can persist across multiple version releases or may be removed completely if it doesn’t work as expected.

However, the reports suggest that the tech giant Google wants to do something more than location sharing–it’d offer better insight into what you’re doing!
