Google has been recently focusing on podcasts since past few months. A series of interviews by various Google officials reveals about the company’s plans about podcasts. However, still, it does not have its own dedicated podcast app. But finally, it seems that it is preparing to debut its own standalone podcast app for Android. According to some reports, the company is integrating a podcast feature into its official Android podcast app. Now, the same reports also information that will be a dedicated Google Podcasts app on the Play Store.

Google has been trying to build a podcast client within the Google app. It is a nice tool to stream and download favorite shows and videos on Android devices. But the tool also has some issues. One of the main issues is, this tool is not easy to use. However, now it seems that Google is preparing to launch an Android app for the podcast tool.

According to the reports, the Play Store listing of the Google Podcasts app is likely to act a bit like the company’s Assistant and Google Lens listing on the Play Store. It means the user will simply get a shortcut in their app drawer that will open the podcast functionality. In a simpler word, users will need the official Google app for the Google Podcasts app shortcut. The app is not live yet, however, users can expect the app to come soon on the Google Play Store.
