Google is making small changes in displaying images in the Google App and websites. They are removing the “view image” button that appears when a picture is clicked in the images site. This gave a lot of users a good chance to a lot of users to use the image if they wanted it, but now on removing it, it might make it difficult for users to take the images on Google.

But now there are additional steps to save an image. Google had constantly received complaints from photographers and publishers who felt that their image content is being used by others on Google images. On request, Google has now finally removed the feature of view image making it less easier for users to steal images.

The basic idea seems to be that on removing the view image button, people will use the images less or they want the users to click the “visit” button so the websites who own the picture can serve ads and get revenue on visiting the website. Website might sometimes disable the ability to right click and save the image. This makes it sure that the image that is needed is to be taken from the publishers website only.

In addition to removing “view image”, they have even removed “search by image” that was also there previously when a photo was viewed. But the feature of dragging the image is still available by dragging any image and the results related to it will appear. Google is taking a good and safe step for the photographers and publishers by helping them protect their actual content.
