Amazon has launched a new Halo service which will be a health and fitness tracking wristband includes under a subscription service and smartphone app. About this new service, Amazon has said that it will track the physical activity, sleep and body fat of a user and will also determine the mood of the user according to their voice. To ensure providing a better service to its customers, Amazon has teamed up with Mayo Clinic, Orangetheory Fitness, Headspace and WW so that they can help to improve the communication skills of the users as according to the results provided by the Halo service.

According to Dr. Maulik Majmudar, who is the principal medical officer of Amazon Halo, they are using the artificial intelligence and machine learning system of Amazon to provide the users with some better wellness habits. The actual motive behind the launch of this service is to compete with Apple watch and Fitbit devices that are gaining popularity. But the shares of both Fitbit and Amazon went down to around 0.4% and 0.87% on Thursday morning. Looking at all this, it can be said that Amazon is definitely trying to give a tough competition to other brands leading at the market.
