Huawei Honor launches a new tablet with nomenclature Honor WaterPlay, which is the first tablet from Honor to feature IP67 rating, which means the device can be used within the pool, in the shower or anywhere there is the water.

The tablet follows the standard tablet design with all display and thicker bezels, just like their most of the tablets. So, here is the complete set of specifications for the Honor WaterPlay. The device is priced at CNY 1,999 or (INR 20,000) for the 3 GB RAM variant and CNY 2,399 (INR 24,000) for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage variant without LTE capability and the model with LTE capability is priced at CNY 2,399 (INR 24,000) and CYN 2,699 (INR 27,000) for the LTE variant with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage.

The Honor WaterPlay is equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD FHD 1080p screen, protected by tempered glass. Under the hood, the device features a the Kirin 659 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card (up to 256 GB).

In terms of optics, the device offers an 8 MP rear-facing main camera with 1080p video recording capability and a 0.3 MP VGA front-facing camera for the selfies and video conferences. Coming to the operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 with custom UI on the top. The device measures 248x173x7.8mm and weigh 465 grams, which should be acceptable considering the 1080p 10.1-inch screen.

The best thing about the Honor WaterPlay is the battery. The device offers a massive 6660 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability via USB type C port with support for USB OTG as well. The device will be available in Silver and  Champagne gold colour and will be available by the end of the October in China.
