HP USA launches a new premium convertible HP ZBook X2 notebook in the US with the top of the line tech specifications and premium build quality. The company also calls it as the “world’s first detachable workstation”. The Notebook is priced at $1,749 (INR 1,15,000) and will be available from December.

The device offers top-notch build quality with top of the line specifications. So, let’s look at the technical specifications of the same. The HP ZBook X2 is the direct competition against the recently launched Microsoft Surface 2, which offers user detachable touchscreen (offers powerful GPU compared to ZBook X2). With respect to ports, the device offers 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB type C port and a standard Thunderbolt port as well.

The HP ZBook X2 offers a 14-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 3840×2160 pixels resolution, powered by 8th Generation Core i5 or i7 Quad-core SoC, paired with 32 GB RAM and126 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB SSD storage options with NVIDIA Quadro graphics card options. The device also offers fingerprint scanner which works well with Windows hello feature. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Windows 10 64 bit operating system out of the box.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth (keypad connects via Bluetooth, which offers up to 18 adobe app shortcuts). According to the company, the device offers up to 10 hours of battery backup on a single charge with fast charging capability. Additionally, the device also includes features like 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 720p front-facing camera for the video conferences.
