HTC, premium smartphone maker company is now planning to launch its water and dust proof 4G handset U11 but will sell in selected cities only due to restricted supply for the Indian market. At the end of this month, they will sell HTC U11 online and in top 8-10 cities of India. Due to high demand in the global market, they are getting only limited stocks for India and will expand to more cities gradually.
HTC U11 is priced at Rs. 51,990 which HTC Edge sense. Edge sense is the new device operation technology which will allow users to control its function by applying different pressure of their grip on the edge of the phone. This is a sense-based control which can be customized by the users. Also, it can be operated by using voice commands using HTC Sense Companion, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa apps.
HTC has started the pre-booking of the handset on their website from June 17. The company will also sell the phone on e-commerce site like Amazon India from last week of this month. The pre-booking will be available for next 6-7 days. Then they will start selling on Amazon and offline stores from last week of June.
HTC U11 has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2 TB. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile chipset having the 12-megapixel main camera with HDR boost technology. Also, it has a battery of 3,000 mAh which charges completely in 90 minutes and supports up to 24.5 hours for voice calls.
Faisal of HTC said, “We will focus only on high and mid-range segment phones in India because it is difficult to sell innovations at the low price”.
