Huawei India launches a new Honor branded smartphone named, Huawei Honor Holly 4 for INR 11,999. The device is a mid-range Android smartphone with a full metal unibody design. The device is offered in Grey and Gold colour variants with the following tech specifications. The device offers a standard metallic design with plastic antenna bands on the top and bottom part of the smartphones, like most of the entry-level to mid-range smartphones.
Like the majority of the smartphones that are recently launched in India, Huawei Honor Holly 4 doesn’t offer top of the line specifications. In fact, the specifications of this device are comparable to that of the Redmi 4 Prime, which is priced at INR 9,000. So, at the price point that the Huawei Honor Holly 4 is offered, it doesn’t have any chance to go against the odds of Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K8 Plus, as well as the 10.or E.
The Huawei Honor Holly is equipped with a 720p IPS LCD 5-inch display with a layer of 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. In terms of performance, the device might perform well in day-to-day usage scenario, as the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage based on eMMC 5.1. The device does offer a micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). However, as it is a Hybrid slot, the device offers slots for either two SIM cards or a SIM and an SD card.
In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 13 MP rear-facing camera with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device houses 5 MP selfie shooter with 720p video recording capability. If you are concerned about the operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom EMUI 5.0 on the top. Like most of the mid-range smartphones from Honor, the device will not receive Android Oreo update what so ever. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE with VoLte capability along with support for single band WiFi (2.4 GHz).
