Huawei is all set to launch a bunch of premium Android segment next week. As we have earlier covered about the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, now its time for the Huawei Mate 10 Lite which packs mid-tier specifications and premium build quality. So, just like the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, the device offers premium full metal unibody solution with fantastic features. So, let’s look at the technical specifications of the same.

Huawei has launched this same smartphone in India with different nomenclature, in India, the device is called as Huawei Honor 9i, which offers identical specifications at an affordable price tag of  INR 17,999 which roughly translates to $300 price point. Huawei has been pricing their devices very aggressively compared to the Global market, as a matter of fact, the smartphones from Huawei costs less in India compared to the Chinese pricing.

As the smartphone race is being dominated by the smartphones with 18:9 aspect ratio screen with 5.9-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution screen 1080 x 2160p protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Kirin 659 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

In terms of camera capability, the device features a dual rear-camera setup without Leica branding. Going through the company’s portfolio, this device might offer a monochrome and an RGB shooter with features including 1080p video recording capability, portrait mode and high-resolution monochrome stills. Even for the front-facing camera, the device features dual camera setup with a 16 MP primary camera and a 2 MP secondary camera for depth sensing.

The standard features like 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB port, dual SIM card slot, and dual-band WiFi support will also be offered out of the box. In terms of operating system, the device will be powered by Android Oreo with custom EMUI 5.0 skin on the top. A smartphone without a smart battery is nothing, so, Huawei has also submitted the device with a massive 3340 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability via micro USB port. To conclude, the device will be offered in Blue, Black, and Gold paint job with the price tag of INR 25,000 or €379 ($455).
