The Huawei CEO was brave enough to compare their smartphone with the high-end iPhone X and bragged about how their smartphone has better features than that of the iPhone X in terms of pricing and features and what not. To one extent, what he said was right. The camera department on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is the best in the market. Here is the complete set of specifications for the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

Huawei Mate 10:

Huawei Mate 10 features a 5.9-inch 2k QHD+ IPS LCD screen standard 16:9 aspect ratio FullView screen with 81.79 percent screen to body ratio, as a matter of fact, the iPhone X offers just 81.36 percent of the screen to the body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by their own High Kirin 970 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

According to OEM, the Kirin 970 is the first smartphone processor which happens to be the first SoC to include neural-network processor unit (NPU), however, its sound bit confusing as Apple’s A11 bionic chipset already happen to have dual neural processing units. According to Yu, CEO of Huawei, the Kirin 970 is the worlds most powerful processor. To get 100 percent from this powerful SoC, the company also supports the desktop mode, where the phone can be used as a trackpad by connecting it to the external monitor via the proprietary dock.

For the camera, the company has once again partnered with the premium camera maker Leica. The Huawei Mate 10 offers a dual rear-camera solution with 12 MP + 20 MP RGB sensors with X2 optical zooming capability, portrait mode and 4k video recording capability. Unlike other premium flagship smartphone, the device still houses a 3.5 mm headphone jack. In terms of battery, the Huawei Mate 10 packs a massive 4000 mAh Li-ion battery with Huawei’s own fast charging capability via USB type C port.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro:

Under the hood beholds the same Kirin 970 Octa-core SoC, with either 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage. However, the device doesn’t have a micro SD card, which might feel game changer for some users.

In terms of camera capability, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro offers identical Leica branded dual rear camera setup with 12 MP + 20 MP sensors with a whooping F/1.6 aperture and OIS on both the sensors. In fact, this big sensor will let in a lot of light, which enhances the low light photography. On the front, the device offers an 8 MP selfie shooter with 1080p video recording capability.

The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear side of the device on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, whereas the Mate 10 has it on the front. The battery also remains the same at 4000 mAh with fast charging capability via USB type C port. Unlike the Mate 10, the Mate 10 Pro uses USB type C port instead of 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output. Finally, the operating system.
