Huawei Nova 2s is now official, the device is now available in China in different storage variants. To start with the design, the device offers a premium build, however, instead of the metal build, the device is now available with a glass back panel with a premium finish. One can get the device in multi-color options, with Black, Gray, Red, Rose Gold and Blue colors options.

In terms of design and build quality, the device offers is nothing in short of a premium build quality and we don’t have any problem with the design what so ever. Looking at the price tag. The entry-level model with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage for CNY 2499 (₹ 24,999) and the more premium 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant retails for CNY 2999 (₹29,999), finally, the special edition with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will cost you CNY 3,399 (₹33,999).

Considering the remaining tech specifications, the device offers a lot of value for money (that to the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant). Here are the complete tech specifications of the Huawei Nova 2s.

Like most of the smartphones that are launched in Q4 of 2017, the Huawei Nova 2s comes with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio screen with 6.0-inch screen real estate. The touch panel used in the device is of LTPS LCD technology with 2160x1080p pixels resolution. This display is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top for additional protection. For a reason, this device stands out, and that’s because of the placement of the fingerprint scanner. Though the device has narrow bezels, the device does offer front-facing fingerprint scanner.

The device runs on the last generation HiSilion Kirin 960 Octa-core SoC (which is comparable to Qualcomm Snapdragon 820). In terms of day to day usage, one can expect smoother transitions and one will not face any issues even with the highly demanding tasks. Considering the fact that, the entry-level model comes with at least 4 GB RAM, multitasking should be a breeze even.

On to the camera capability, the smartphone is equipped with a dual rear-facing camera setup. The 16 MP RGB shooter and the 20 MP monochrome shooters share a F/1.8 aperture for an improved low light performance. Even for the selfie enthusiasts, the device offers a 20 MP main shooter with F/2.0 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensing shooter to capture the varied depth of field. So, in terms of camera experience, this device offers a lot of things which are basically found on a premium flagship smartphones.

In terms of operating system, the Huawei Nova 2s runs on Android Oreo with custom EMUI on the top. You also get all the standard Oreo features with additional 3rd party customization options. The 3340 mAh Li-ion sealed battery does offer fast charging capability via USB type C port. The smartphone does have a dedicated 3.5 mm headphone jack with a Hi-Fi Audio DAC.

Ths smartphone does offer a lot of nerve for the price tag at the given price tag. However, we don’t have any information on the availability outside India.
