Huawei, the premium smartphone maker is getting ready to launch its next premium flagship smartphone in 2018 and one of the prominent features of the upcoming Huawei P11 is the notch. This has been confirmed by a leaked document, that gave an idea about the device. According to the document, the smartphone comes with a “round-cornered display” with another file name called “ro.config.hw_notch_size”, so, the word notch should explain everything.

Yes, you heard us right. The smartphone maker has decided to use a complete bezel-less display with a notch on the top. The notch is expected to house the Facial recognition hardware with the main microphone and selfie camera. So, the notch will exactly look like the one found on the Apple iPhone X.

The company has already showcased the new technology at the time of Huawei Honor View 10s launch, the company will indeed include this feature on their upcoming flagship smartphone. So, here are the remaining tech specifications of the Huawei P11 (speculated).

To start with the display, the smartphone maker is likely to use a FHD+ OLED touch panel like the Huawei P10 pro. The 6.0-inch display will have narrower 18:9 aspect ratio with narrow bezels on the all four corners. In terms of processor, the smartphone maker to use its in-house unannounced HiSilicon Kirin 980 Octa-core Mobile Solution with 4 to 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage.

In terms of design, the smartphone will offer premium glass sandwich design with an aluminium mid-frame for the structural rigidity. The smartphone is expected to resemble the Huawei P10 with a bit of improvement.

For the camera, the brand is likely to continue the partnership with Leica, which is known for its premium mirrorless cameras with top-notch performance. The smartphone is likely to use dual camera setup with features like OIS, Portrait mode, and 4K video recording capability. The smartphones selfie camera will also help the device to capture the facial expressions to generate Animoji like effects.

Additionally, by the time of launch, the device will be running on a forked version of Android P (the launch of the smartphone is expected around the end of 2018). This power packed device is likely to feature a battery with at least 3000 mAh capacity with fast charging capability.
