Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) with Android 8.1, face unlock listed on official website

Huawei recently listed Huawei Y5 Prime on its official website which is the latest smartphone on Y-series. This phone is also the latest in the Huawei’s budget segment smartphones. According to the Official site, the phone will go on sale soon. The features of the phone are listed on the site but the price and availability are yet to be revealed. This smartphone would probably be available for sale in June.


According to the website, the Y5 Prime will be available in two variants. The DRA-L02 variant will house single-SIM slot while DRA-L22 will have dual SIM slots. Sensors on the phone include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor also. The device will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI. Any detail about the processor is not mentioned.

In Y5 Prime you get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Moreover, the storage is expandable up to 256GB by the way of MicroSD card.

Talking about the optics, Huawei Y5 Prime has got a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel at the front for selfies. The phone comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440) display. The Y5 Prime (2018)  proves to be a compact handset, measuring 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3mm and with 142 grams weight.

Huawei has not yet updated us on the pricing and availability. One thing which we are sure about is that it will be available in three colors-red, black and blue.
