Huawei, the number one smartphone manufacturer (in terms of a number of shipments) has launched a new entry-level smartphone in Europian continent. Huawei Y6 Pro (2017), the latest smartphone from the Huawei will be available in Europe including Germany, Italy, and France for €179 or $170 or INR 13,700 only.

Unlike its predecessor, the device offers full metal unibody solution in Black, Silver, and Gold paint jobs. The device follows, Huawei’s new design language with a flushed camera and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The device looks and feels like a premium one (at least on the paper). Let’s look at the technical specifications of the same.

The Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) is equipped with a 5.0-inch 720p IPS LCD HD screen, paired with 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device houses an entry-level Snapdragon 425 Quad-core SoC from Qualcomm with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots (one active 4G + 2G standby).

In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 13 MP rear-facing main camera with single tone dual LED flash with a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera with 720p video recording capability. The smartphone measures 143.5 x 71 x 8.05 mm and weighs 145 grams, making it one of the lightest smartphone on the market. In terms of features, the device offers 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, GPS, and A-GPS.

Coming to the battery component, the device offers a 3020 mAh Li-ion non-user replaceable battery with normal 10W charging capability via micro USB port with USB OTG support as well. With respect to operating system, the device runs on the previous iteration of Android Nougat 7.0 with custom EMUI on the top.

As of now, there is no information regarding the pricing or availability of the device, however, as the company has officially announced, the device should be available in Europian continents by the end of the October 2017.

Compared to the smartphone available in China and India, this device is bit overpriced. However, considering the market conditions, Europeans don’t get plenty of options, so, they have to settle amongst the few.
