Huawei Matebook X pro

Stepping ahead of the smartphone making, Huawei looks significantly strong with laptop segment. The MWC has announced the latest Huawei Matebook X Pro which looks seriously good. The screen looks more than convenient with a 13.9-inch display and  3,000 x 2,000-pixel display.

The laptop is incredibly thin with 14.6 mm, measuring 4 mm on each side and the screen-to-body ratio of 91%. Another big leap towards the webcam placement, as it has been hidden under a function key in the keyboard. To pop out that 1MP camera, the user must press the function key.

The 8 X pro is powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 CPUs, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Intel i5 is flexible with the two options for the 256GB NVMe SSD or 512GB NVMe SSD storage. The GPU has got the Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2 GB GDDR5. Additionally, there are 802.11ac Wi-Fi options and the Bluetooth 4.1 compatibility. The laptop has been featured by two USB-C ports that can both handle charging, one with the Thunderbolt 3 support. The battery has been pretty decent with 57.4Wh that will last the whole day. However, varying the usage it will deliver 12 hours of video playback or 15 hours of web browsing.

Apart from this, the laptop has got few extra features such as fingerprint sensor built-in to the power button, and Dolby Atmos speakers. The keyboard is also spillproof has it will resist the water from going inside the keypad panel.

Huawei’s head of mobile computing, Ankit Jhaveri said,

“The system’s price would be “disruptive.” While I find it hard to imagine that this thing will be anything approaching cheap, I’m hoping he’s right, cause the X Pro seems like a laptop that’s clever in all the right ways.”

But still, there it seems the laptop will be initially hit the North American market in this coming spring. The upgrade is definitely a huge challenge to the disruptive laptop markets.
