This year’s IFA Berlin had many smartphone launches. It looks like Alcatel is not satisfied with their Idol 5 and Idol 5s launch. Idol launches two one mid-segmented smartphones, one of them being a dual camera smartphone.
The Alcatel A7 and A7 XL offers full metal unibody design and comes with slightly bigger form-factor compared to the normal smartphones with 5.5 inch RAM.
Idol A7 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD 1080p panel, powered by MTK Octa-core SoC paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage with a dedicated SD card slot (up to 128 GB). The Alcatel features a 16 MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The 4000 mAh battery does last for two days on the moderate usage and lasts for more than one complete day on the heavy usage. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat with custom UI on the top.
The Alcatel A7 XL features a 6 inch 1080p IPS LCD panel with MTK MT6750S Octa-core solution with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage with a dedicated SD card slot. The device features dual rear-camera setup with 12 MP + 2 MP combination. The device will be capable of recording 1080p videos with bokeh effect photos.
The battery remains at 4000 mAh with rapid charging capability. The Alcatel A7 is priced at €229.99 and for an additional 50 Euros, one can get A7 XL. Both devices will be available in black and gold colour options by November 2017.
