The American-based smartphone company Infocus has started its journey on the Indian shores some time ago but has not yet found footage in the Indian market. The company recently added another smartphone to market, which is InFocus Vision 3 Pro. Infocus Vision 3 played a good value for money with a demand of 6,999 rupees, with the demand for a large 18: 9 display, dual rear camera setup, and 4000 mAh battery. However, the display did not have the same value bracket.

Updated Vision 3 Pro has faced a tough competition with the recently launched Redmi Note 5 and Honor 9 Lite which demands more than this price. With the price starting from Rs 10,999, Vision3 Pro brings minor changes compared to its predecessor. It brings a big 18: 9 display, a bit better camera and a bit more RAM and storage. However, is Infocus Vision 3 Pro worth investing in these factors?

Design:

Infocus Vision 3 Pro looks almost identical to its predecessor. Pro gets a little classic design compared to its older brother, which makes it quite modern. Tad changes in aesthetics are noticeable – the speaker runs from behind to the bottom and behind the panel and the edge of plastic chrome bands. A unibody design is normally designed with a metal back panel on the top and bottom of the plastic edges in the smartphone. The phone has a strong build and a decent grip – thanks to the spherical edges and corners. However, it sometimes gets a little slippery.

Infocus is also equipped with an 18: 9 display on this version, which is coming in HD + (720×1440 pixels) resolution on the 5.7-inch panel. The screen has a decent level of brightness and produces good colors and viewing angles. Speakers, Micro-USB ports, and Primary microphones take their place below, while the 3.5 mm headphone jack is at the top edge. As mentioned earlier, the back panel is similar to Vision 3. It has a dual camera setup, an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor that is uniformly placed in the center.

Specification & Performance:

The Vision 3 Pro MediaTek MT 6750 octa-core chipset game is built around the clock at 8 Cortex A53 Core 1.5 GHz. It has 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage support. Infocus is still going to be disappointing to use the old Android 7.0 Nougat, while rivals Oreo of the Box. A custom skin dubbed as Smile UX caters to the user interface. While trying to duplicate the stock Android interface, there are no more customization options except for some gestures and skins in the UI. The UI comes with some Bluetooth ware that includes Amazon Shopping and Prime App, UC News and UC Browser app, free share and some unwanted people, which could be left as an alternative. Overall, Infocus has just upgraded the internal.

Infocus Vision 3 Pro hosts a similar battery on the preceding one. Battery life, as expected from 4000 mAh power pack, is definitely good. Smartphone easily manages to be used throughout the day. Based on usage, Vision3 Pro can run up to a maximum of 1.5 days.

Verdict:

Infocus Vision 3 Pro does not come out as a capable all-rounder. The device provides better specification on Vision 3, but perhaps it fails to deliver to its Snapdragon rivals. A long-running battery life and a big display may be the only redeeming quality of this smartphone. Dual cameras are quite good for comfortable photography, at Rs 10,999, the smartphone does not seem to be a bit expensive as competing phones with the same price tag.
