Intex, the Japanese smartphone brand has launched a new entry-level Android-based smartphone in India named Intex Elyt. The USP for this smartphone is the dual front-facing camera. As a matter of fact, this is the cheapest smartphone to feature the dual camera setup.

In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone offers a plastic unibody design, which looks like a metal construction with the cool looking antenna bands and a speaker grill on the back. So, if you are all about the looks, then the device has a lot of potentials. Let’s look at the technical specifications of the Intex Elyt Dual for further analysis.

The Intex Elyt is equipped with a 5.0-inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone houses an entry level Spreadtrum quad-core SoC with a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz. This processor is paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers a dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Other features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.2 are also present. So, the company hasn’t taken any shortcut what so ever.

Moving towards the camera capability, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-front facing camera setup with 2 MP + 8 MP camera combination which offers features like HD video recording capability with portrait mode. For the main camera, the smartphone offers an 8 MP selfie camera with same 720p video recording capability.

The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top. Finally, the smartphone offers a 2400 mAh Li-ion battery with normal charging capability via micro USB port with support for USB OTG.

Considering all these specifications, this device has a lot of features compared to the smartphone like the Xiaomi Y1 Lite and the Nokia 2. So, what do you think about the Intex Elyt? Share your views in the comment box.
